2010 Spring/Summer Learn-to-Row Schedule

E-mail Print PDF
The 2010 Spring/Summer Learn-to-Row Schedule is now available.  Here are the dates:

May 3-19 (completed)
May 4-20 (completed)
June 8-24 (FULL)
July 5-21 (FULL)

These are the date ranges the each session will cover.  Each session is 3 weeks long, 2 classes per week for a total of 6 classes.  If you are not able to make all the classes within the 3-week period, we have designated the weeks in between scheduled sessions as "free activity" week where you can make up classes, tryout sculling in different boats or transit in recreation rowing.  You can find the list of LTR events under the "EVENT" section.  The list provides a hyperlink to take you to a registration page.

Due to the number of no-show and cancellation last year, registration fee not received within 2 weeks of the start date will be cancelled automatically.  If registration needs to be canceled or changes, it should be done no later than a week before class starts.

Row for Kids Team Fundraising Challenge

The Edmonton Rowing Club, in partnership with the Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation and PCL Construction Management Inc.  hosts the annual Row for Kids program.  The program raises funds to support the Stollery’s child healthcare initiatives and the Edmonton Rowing Club’s amateur sport programs.

Over the 8-week program, we take participants from zero rowing knowledge to competition-ready status.  We provide the rowing shells, equipment, and coaching.    Your team enjoys the spectacular North Saskatchewan River Valley while building teamwork, company pride, and wellness.  Practices start in early July.  A sprint regatta at Telford Lake on September 11 will top off the 2010 program.

To find out more about Row for Kids, email our Row for Kids Director, Cathy Block, at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it or visit the Row for Kids website.
