The High School Programs involves training for (and participation in) an Indoor Challenge and a spring Outdoor Program. The Indoor Rowing Challenge starts in early March and runs into mid-April with the finale highlighted by an Indoor Rowing Regatta. Then participants can continue with rowing on the water in a crew rowing boat starting in May once the river thaws. The Outdoor Rowing Program runs from May to mid-June and also ends with a Junior Crews Regatta.
Depending on which school/team you represent, the Indoor Rowing Program runs on select weekdays. We provide everything you need to learn new skills and work up a sweat. All you need to bring is comfortable (not too baggy!) workout clothes, including shoes and a water bottle. Our friendly and enthusiastic coaching staff have years of experience in rowing and are ready to answer all your questions pertaining to rowing.
Once participants have completed the High School Program, they can pay upgrade fees, and continue on with further rowing development (from June until November, when we get back to indoor training) through our Junior Competitive program. As a Junior Competitive rower, they can combine with other athletes who are U19 (under 19 yrs of age) to attend the same regattas as our Senior Competitive crews.
The ERC is happy to announce that it will be running Summer Youth Camps again (half-days, week long, typically offered mornings in July). Please check the Summer Camps for more information.
Once participants have completed the High School Program, they can continue on with further rowing development through our Junior Program where they will attend the same regattas as our Seniors and Masters Competitive crews.
